A day trip to Arran in September 2005 changed our lives when we stepped off the ferry and fell in love with the island.
Six weeks later we returned
to the island to buy a piece of land in Lamlash, overlooking the pier
and Holy Island, and, three years down the line, our purpose built bed
and breakfast has been completed. We opened for business early in 2009,
so please bear with us while we update the pictures of the house. We
hope you love it here as much as we do.
We want to provide you with
everything that makes a great bed and breakfast, including a warm
welcome, great food and comfortable beds!
So, whether you want to find your own way here or be collected from the
ferry; roam the island with your dog; go out to dine; play golf on one
of the most scenic courses around or just kick back with a mug of tea
and the Sunday papers whilst sat in front of a wood-burning stove, we
think you'll find what you're looking for here on Arran. We are part of the Arran Fairtrade Community.
If you've already
visited Arran,
you'll know it's a great place to spend some time.
Lamlash,
just 3 miles from Brodick and the ferry to Ardrossan, has everything
you would expect from a Scottish village: pubs, restaurants, cafes, a
stunning golf course, shops and, of course, great views.
Stonewater House Bed and Breakfast is located at the end of the pier,
with its views across to Holy Island, and just a short walk from the
yacht club.
Stonewater House Bed and Breakfast is a new build, situated in the quiet town of Lamlash on the Isle of Arran, completed at the end of 2008 combining a modern house with a warm welcome. We sit opposite the pier in Lamlash, so you can enjoy your breakfast looking out towards the sea.
We have 2 double bedrooms and a twin room available for guests, all rooms are en-suite and have hot drink making facilities.
Ample parking for guests and a storeroom for your sports equipment are both available.
Arran is home to a wonderful variety of people and enterprises.
